Upcoming "Can't Miss Events" at Jumptown

It may be end of summer, but there’s still a lot happening at Jumptown! If you’re an experienced skydiver, you may enjoy some of the programs we have in store for you!

Sisters in Skydiving – We’ve got three upcoming SIS events for the ladies of the dropzone beginning this weekend!

August 16 – SIS Scrambles
September 7 – Sisters in Skydivers Social
October 4 – SIS Slot Switcher Event

Formation Skydiving Big Ways – August 16-17 – Brian Boyle and Peter Kramer will be organizing 6-8 Way RW jumps during the day and will then be adding the groups together to do 16 Way Sequential – please contact Diane Pond or Brian Boyle for more information (978-544-5321)

Go Big Skydiving! – August 23 – Go Big will be offering a big way training day. This will be “team for a day” event to improve big way skydiving skills. Day will consist of safety talk, more extensive than usual dirt dives, and video debriefs, plan on making 5 skydives for the day. This is not a walk-up event, you must RSVP by 6PM of the Tuesday before the event to participate. Please sign up with Go Big or contact Jack Cunniff.

Canopies for Kids – August 29 – 31 – Take one of our Teddy Bears on your jump and transform it into one of the “bravest teddy bears in the world” to give the gift of hope and inspiration to a sick child at the UMASS Medical Memorial Children’s Medical Center. Our $20 package purchases a stuffed bear and a card for writing a personal heartfelt message of strength and perseverance to a sick child. A $5 donation is built into each kit and will be donated along with the teddy bears to the UMASS Medical Center. Cost is $20 per bear plus your jump fee – August 29th through 31st at Jumptown . Last year we managed to donate 115 bears. Let’s break that record!!!!!! Please contact Tricia Small at fl***********@*****il.com for more information.

Night Jumps – September 5 – Night jumps are scheduled for September 5th! If you need to get your D-license, or are just looking for a good reason to strap on a strobe then you’ll want to put September 5th on your calender! Please note the rain date for night jumps is September 6th.

Wingsuit State Record Attempts – September 13-14 – The Northeast Bird School will be organizing the Massachusetts Wingsuit Gridded Record at Jumptown. Please contact the school for details.

Flight-1 Canopy Skills Camp – September 13-14 – Our own Cam King will be hosting two Flight-1 Canopy Courses between September 13th and September 14th. Class 201 will be hosted on Saturday, September 13th and the 202 will be hosted on September 14th. Click here to register.
